Coming Soon to Kalamazoo
We are in the process of bringing a mobile emergency overnight shelter to Kalamazoo. This accommodation will be open to all on a first-come, first-serve basis. Passengers are picked up at designated locations in town, shuttled to an undisclosed location to park for the night, and returned in the morning well-rested and refreshed.
Hope Coach
Hope Coach is Dignity in Motion's low-barrier, "no strings attached", emergency shelter on wheels.
Our goal for the Hope Coach is to provide a safe, temporary overnight accommodation for those experiencing houselessness.

Comfort
Each of Hope Coach's twenty (20) secure sleeping bunks are climate controlled and equipped with privacy curtains, electrical outlets, individual lights, freshly cleaned sheets, soft mattresses, and hypoallergenic pillows.
Health
The Hope Coach provides under storage, pet pods for companion animals, private restroom, generator, and air filtration system.
Safety
Driver and overnight security attendant and monitored CCTV surveillance system ensure the safety of the occupants.
Potential
Converting a used motor coach is a relatively affordable solution that can be implemented quickly and adapted to the needs and resources of the community. While it is not a long-term solution, this unique idea is gaining traction and being used world-wide.
